To re-create an existing site (also developed by Ivelina.com in 2008) on the WordPress platform in order to automate its time consuming event management. The WP platform was highly customized to perform the following actions:

• Custom fields for events date, time, and document attachments
• List future events by their custom future date rather than the WP Post date
• Automatically remove from the site events that have past
• Automatically e-mail a designated admin to moderate those past events and re-post them once edited in past tense
• Automatically assign the correct categories to Future and Past events based on their dates and status
• Contained custom menu widgets for each section of the site
• Custom navigations with hidden categories and / or pages as needed

Design a web site, fliers and tickets for a Masked Ball event organized as a 30th Birth Day bash celebration. The event was called Eccentric Minds Ball and featured a full program of topless masked cocktail waitresses, body paint artist, best costume completion, and a Drag Queen Face-off.

Objective:

The Cork Restaurant in Westmont, NJ needed a new web site, which conveyed the classy and lively atmosphere of the establishment. Before deciding on the design, I visited the restaurant several time in order to soak in the feel of it; I sat in it’s various areas, and took a lot of photographs. I geared my design to reflect the same feeling that you get when walking into the place.

We had a lot of beautiful photographs to choose from, which was a challenge. In order to best show off the features of the restaurant, I wanted the site to be mostly visual because the place is very visually titillating. There is no better way to give an online visitor a feeling for a place than to submerge them in it right from the start, and keep the theme going throughout the site. The information in this case is secondary to the feeling, and at the end of the project, everyone agreed that visiting the site feels just like being in the restaurant.
